In photographing water I capture a moment of fleeting light as
it grazes the water's surface. Depending on the time of day, the
reflections from sky, trees and stone walls change the normally
dark surface of the water into intensely vivid images. In these
mirrored images, trees, clouds and passersby are altered. Sometimes
they become soft and dreamlike and other times, electrified. Often
abstracted, always transformed, they continue to reflect something
of their original presence.
