A white narcissus and a white paper screen are poetic images that
illuminate and enhance one another. This same phenomenon is reflected
in my photographs and prints which work as pairs or suites. Each
individual artwork becomes richer in relation to its partner image
or images. As suggested in the poem above, the solo work illuminates
its companions and vice-versa. Playing with sets allows me to explore
many facets of an idea. In the wood block prints and monotypes,
I explore tree and plant forms; in my photographs I work with reflections
in water and with groupings of trees.
